2009. Este es el segundo video que hice para mi canal de Youtube.  Si no me equivoco creo que decidí hacer una serie web basada en un personaje interpretado por un huevo. ¿Por qué un huevo? Simplemente porque recordaba que en mi infancia los otros niños en el colegio  me llamaban «Manolito Huevo Frito» y pensé que podría ser divertido usar un huevo como protagonista.

En aquella época Youtube estaba lleno de canales de bromas, así que supongo que eso me llevó a hacer esto: Simplemente pinté una cara sonriente en un huevo y con un poco de plastilina lo puse en un mueble urbano frente a mi casa. Después, apunté mi cámara allí y salí a hacer unos recados. Cuando volví y vi lo que había pasado con mi huevo, escribí rápidamente un guión e hice el vídeo como una parodia de telediario. Ahora también me doy cuenta de que fui un pionero del clickbait ya que titulé el vídeo como «Asesinato captado por una cámara de seguridad». Eso hizo que el vídeo se hiciera viral, pero recibí muchos comentarios de gente enfadada, que se decepcionaba al no encontrar «la sangre que esperaban».

2009. This is the second video I made for my Youtube channel.  If I´m not wrong I think I decided to make a web series based on a character played by an egg. Why an egg? Just because I remembered that in my childhood  the other kids at school nicknamed me as "Manolito Huevo Frito"  ("Little Manuel The Fried Egg") and I thought it could be funny to use an egg as the protagonist.

At that time Youtube was full of prank channels, so I guess that it led me to to do this: I simply painted a smliy face on an egg and using some plasticine I put it on a piece of urban furniture opposite my house. Then, I point my camera there and went out to run some errands. When I came back and I saw what had happened with my egg, I quickly write a script and made the video as a  TV news parody. Now I also notice that I was a clickbait pioneer as I entitled the video as " Murder caught on security camera". That made the video go viral but I got a lot of comments of angry people who were disappointed when they didn´t find "the blood they were waiting for".
